Little Love Note

Muse Challenge 142

Our lovely inspiration for us this week was provided by Anita.  The elements from her card that had my attention are:
--color theme
--use of heart
--heart-felt sentiment
--tag (pierced instead of stitched)
In lieu of the embossed lines the blue card panel has an embossed edge from the die-cut.  The tag and panel are double thickness (instead of the foam tape) for added dimension.  The heart is inlaid and covered with some WOS for a little glitter.  To finish, I added a few small rhinestones in the same color palette for an extra sparkle.

For the main panel I did a water-color look by using Peacock Feathers Distress ink.  The darker marks were made by flicking some of the ink (I had more splatters other places than my card panel ... must practice more!!)

Thank you for looking and commenting ... your feedback is most appreciated.

  1. Beautiful take on the Muse card! I love the blue background - perfectly frames that gorgeous tag!

  2. Such a pretty interpretation of my card. Love the pierced inlaid heart on the pierced tag and the sentiment is so cute. I know what you mean about splattering ink, mine never lands where I want it either!
Thanks so much for playing along at Muse, Anita x

  3. Hola Marily, clever and original take for this challenge, beautiful!
    Hugs from Palma

  4. Now I do like a bit of bling! And it just finished your card beautifully x

  6. This is simply beautiful, Marilyn! Love the way you've created your background to make the focal tag pop. So glad you joined us at Muse this week!

  7. I LOVE the background and how it makes the rest of the card stand out. I love your interpretation of Anita's muse card. Beautiful!
