Muse - You Were Meant to Shine

Greetings Everyone!

Muse Challenge #218 ... How fun ... a birthday celebration for Ardyth  ... 50 birthday wishes in this post!!!

This celebration includes using one of her cards as our muse ... and we have chances for presents!! I scanned many, many of her cards (getting inspiration galore) and found one created in 2012 that I chose to use.  My rendition includes layout, sun, red embellishment.

For the sun, I used the negative of a die-cut for a stencil and blended three yellow colors of Distress Inks. The center of the sun is a daisy die-cut colored with the same yellow Distress inks ... only inked deeper in color. Then, the die-cut was painted with a few coats of clear WOS to give it shine/shimmer. A ladybug embellishment was added for interest.

Wish everyone a fun day.

MCV - Merry and Bright

Hello Card Making Friends!

Hope this day finds you well.

Time to play at Muse: ChristmasVisions 80 ... Kimberly provided us a beautiful wreath inspiration.  My rendition includes colors, bird, berries, ribbon, sentiment. The wreath and ribbon were die-cut from three alcohol ink blended panels - green and blue for the wreath and light red tone for the ribbon. A few custom colored gem 'berries' were added for sparkle.

Time Out - Hello There

Greetings!

Time Out Challenges #83 features Hannelie as the CASE designer. We are provided the privilege of CASEing her card ... With Our Own Twist. Her cards are so inspiring and swoon-worthy. I've included the color hues, die-cuts, black and white flower. My rendition includes a water-color/smoosh panel laid beneath a snow slopes die cut, then die-cut again using a stitched frame die. Three of the frame pieces were stacked to provide additional dimension. The flower was stamped in black, and the sentiment stamped/heat embossed in white on black. A sparkly yellow enamel dot was added to the flower center, and a few randomly placed clear sequins complete the card.

Hope your day is enjoyable ... thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback.

The Flower Challenge - Feel Better Soon

Hello Everyone,

Again, playing in The Flower Challenge #8 - CASE a DT Member.  The card I created is a CASE of the card designed by Ruth Andrews.  The grey rectangle was die-cut three times from grey cardstock, glued/stacked and adhered at a slight tilt. The flowers were die-cut from card stock that had been smooshed with various yellow colors of Distress Inks. Some grey splatters were added to the flowers (I have a stamp that makes "splatters" ... no mess!!). For added interest a few sequins were randomly adhered.

Hope you're having a wonderful day.  Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback.

The Flower Challenge - Stay Awesome

Hello!

Playing cards in The Flower Challenge #8 - CASE a DT Member. I chose to CASE Karen Dunbrook.  My card rendition includes a panel of Washi tape with a white stamped/heat embossed image. The frame was created using a rectangle die-cut then dry embossing with a larger pierced rectangle die-cut. A sentiment stamped in black completes the card.

Hope you're having a wonderful day.  Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback.

Muse - hello

Hello!

Playing cards at Muse Challenge #214 ... Anita provided a gorgeous stenciled inspiration.  My rendition includes colors, black sentiment, purple mat panel. My image was achieved by stamping with white pigment ink and heat embossing with white EP to create a resist. Then four colors of Distress Ink were blended - Seedless Preserves, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon. Purple mat panel, black die-cut sentiment and one purple bling complete the card.

Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate hearing from you. Wish you a fun day.

Time Out - So Sorry ...

Hi Everyone!

It's flowers and "kissing" at Time Out Challenge #82... my rendition includes one flower that was kissed for a very CAS card. Periwinkle (main flower color) and red hot (background print color) were used. Just happened to have a piece of DP that matched.

Although I hear that the "kissing" technique is an oldie, this was my first time trying it.

The Card Concept - Forever Friends

Greetings!

Today, I'm playing in the CC#72 - April Showers - challenge.  Inspiration for my clean and layered card ... blue polka dot boots, pink sole/trim, florals. The blue polka dot patterned paper was used for the high top with pink trimmed edge/sole ... with similar colored flowers (as the inspiration photo) bursting from the top of the shoe.

Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback. Hope you're having a great day.
