MFT Summer School - Session 2 - Ombre'

Greetings!

A CAS card for the MFT Summer School Ombre' class is presented. Two colors of green (Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover) Distress Oxide inks were blended on a card panel. A greenery die was used to make the die-cut from the blended panel that was adhered to a fish tail die-cut textured with the MFT Grosgrain Texture Plate (retired). The white textured fishtail die-cut was adhered to gold sparkle paper. A simple sentiment and gold sequins complete the card.

MFT Summer School - Session 2 - Focal Point

Greetings!

My card for the MFT Summer School - Focal Point class is presented.  A stencil with Distress Inks was used to create the flower on the circle die-cut. The butterfly was stamped with Distress and Versamark inks and heat embossed with clear EP.  The sentiment was stamped to follow the curve of the circle. For interest and texture the MFT Grosgrain Texture Plate (retired) was used on the white panel. A few enamel dots complete the card.

MFT - Summer School Session 2 - Monochromatic

Greetings!

It's summer school time at MFT. The first class of this session is Monochromatic.  Using the smallest MFT Stitched Frame Square die 5 negative die-cuts were stamped with a flower stamped on each.  These were adhered to a strip of royal blue diagonal striped DP.  For shine a strip of royal blue foil DP was added.  Sparkle was achieved using royal blue gem stones for the centers of the flowers. The sentiment is stamped in MFT black hybrid ink.

Twofer Card Challenge #8 - Geometric

Greetings!

Another fun challenge at Twofer where the prompt is Geometric.  A framed stitched square die was used for my cards.

Card 1 - Celebrate It's Your Day (Birthday category)

The negative of the die was used (times 5) and stamped with the same flower on each.  The flower squares were adhered to a strip of royal blue and white diagonal striped DP.  A strip of royal blue foil DP was added for shine.  The sparkle on the card comes from the royal blue gems on each flower.  The Celebrate sentiment completes the card.

This card will also be entered into the MFT Summer School - Session 2 - Monochromatic

Card 2 - May Your Holidays Sparkle (Christmas category)
The stitched frame piece of the die was used to create three shaker windows that were filled with multi-colored sparkly sequins. A black foil strip adds interest. An appropriate sentiment completes the card.

CAS Mix Up - thinking of you

Greetings!

CAS Mix Up August 2018 has a fun challenge at this time ... it is Stencil Monoprint.  I was so intrigued that I gave it a go.  My rendition includes the stencil monoprint, stamping, die-cuts and stitching on the die-cut.

Distress Inks in the shades of Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade were inked onto the back of a swirly-design stencil ... then the ink was sprayed with water ...then the inky wet stencil was placed on water color paper and pressed down to absorb some of the liquid. After removing the stencil and when the paper was dry, the flower and sentiment were stamped in black hybrid ink. The flower was colored in the same shades as the panel using Prismacolor pencils. A black die-cut panel was slightly offset on two sides of the colored panel for added interest. A few clear sequins add a little sparkle.
