Twofer Card Challenge #8 - Geometric

Greetings!

Another fun challenge at Twofer where the prompt is Geometric.  A framed stitched square die was used for my cards.

Card 1 - Celebrate It's Your Day (Birthday category)

The negative of the die was used (times 5) and stamped with the same flower on each.  The flower squares were adhered to a strip of royal blue and white diagonal striped DP.  A strip of royal blue foil DP was added for shine.  The sparkle on the card comes from the royal blue gems on each flower.  The Celebrate sentiment completes the card.

This card will also be entered into the MFT Summer School - Session 2 - Monochromatic

Card 2 - May Your Holidays Sparkle (Christmas category)
The stitched frame piece of the die was used to create three shaker windows that were filled with multi-colored sparkly sequins. A black foil strip adds interest. An appropriate sentiment completes the card.

Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback.

  1. Both your spectacular designs are schparkly white and impeccably made, Marilyn! I love the way you used the negative of your square frame to make a sweet flower border and the royal blue mirri card is stunning for a pop of color! Your Christmas card is just divine as a shaker! I'm pinning this one! I have that frame die and just love three of them in a vertical shaker row filled with all that brilliant color!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #8! Hugs, Darnell

  2. I did squares too, Marilyn, but no shakers. Love your framed flowers and the fun shaker card!

  3. These are both so deliciously crisp and clean, Marilyn ... the monochrome is a great combination of stylish and pretty, that luscious blue is gorgeous ... and the second is so fun, bright and sparkly with the interactive shaker element! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)

  4. I love what you did with those wonderful MFT squares on both of your cards, Marilyn! The insides make a beautiful setting for your row of bejeweled flowers, and the shiny blue and striped strips balance them perfectly! I also love how you aligned your shaker squares! Both of your cards have gorgeous sentiments too! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
