CAS Mix Up - thinking of you

Greetings!

CAS Mix Up August 2018 has a fun challenge at this time ... it is Stencil Monoprint.  I was so intrigued that I gave it a go.  My rendition includes the stencil monoprint, stamping, die-cuts and stitching on the die-cut.

Distress Inks in the shades of Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade were inked onto the back of a swirly-design stencil ... then the ink was sprayed with water ...then the inky wet stencil was placed on water color paper and pressed down to absorb some of the liquid. After removing the stencil and when the paper was dry, the flower and sentiment were stamped in black hybrid ink. The flower was colored in the same shades as the panel using Prismacolor pencils. A black die-cut panel was slightly offset on two sides of the colored panel for added interest. A few clear sequins add a little sparkle.

Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback.

  5. What a beautiful colour combo for that special monoprint. That flower, in the same tones, came our so clean and crisp. Love the offset of the 2 panels, repeating the black from your stamping, so smart. Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Mix Up! xx
