Hello!
Stopping by to play in the CAS Mixup - Metals challenge for October. My card includes aluminum foil, smooshing, die cuts, stamping. The faintly colored metal burst was die-cut from the leftover piece of aluminum foil that was used to scribble Sharpie markers then blend with alcohol to smoosh the background panel. I like how the wrinkles in the foil give the burst a slightly distressed look The colors of the Sharpies are purples, pinks, oranges, yellow. Both the foil piece and background panel had waited a couple of months to be used!! To make the foil burst stand out from the smooshed panel, it was adhered slightly amiss to a black "patent leather" (it looks like that) circle die cut. A small die cut heart from the same smooshed panel paired with a purple colored gem was added ... just because it seemed to work. The sentiment was stamped a few times in hybrid black ink for a rich and crisp look.
Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback.
Note: This is a color palette that is not my norm. Also, for future ...glue the foil to card stock before cutting, because it is so fragile. (There was no foil crumpling or tearing ... just had to carefully pick it off the cutting plates.)

Thank you for the tips about cutting the foil. Your card is absolutely amazing. The colours are beautiful, the layout and the creative idea is fabulous. Loving the faux metal ray colour burst and the wrinkles add a wonderful texture. The cute heart really does work and the smooshing on the background looks so pretty. The sentiment is so crisp and works beautifully x. Thank you for joining in the fun challenge at The CAS Mix Up, wonderful addition to the gallery x.
