Greetings!
Time to play cards at Muse: ChristmasVisions 68, where Jeanne, our hostess, provided a beautiful, colorful inspiration with various reds and pinks and white (including a give-away, too!!). The colors on Jeanne's card really captured my attention. For my card I used similar color strips, white embossing, Merry Christmas sentiment. A few star-shaped gems were added for a little sparkle.
Hope your day is enjoyable.

Muse - Merry Everything
Hello Everyone!
Time to play cards at Muse Challenge 189. This week Lucille K, our hostess, provided a fun card for our inspirations. When I saw the Muse card, I thought of a Christmas card ... so that is what I created. From Lucille's card I chose to use pink circle element, layout, split sentiment (the first word stamped in a little arch following the shape of the circle and the second stamped horizontally), designer paper. The reason I chose the inlaid tree was to match the trees in the DP ... oh, yes, there are trees on the DP ... after assembling the card I realized the trees had been partially cut off and covered up ... oh, well!!!
Hope you're having a wonderful day.

Muse - With Sympathy
Greetings!
Tonight I'm playing cards at Muse where Jenni is our hostess. My rendition of Jenni's beautiful classic card includes general layout, striped fishtails, orientation of stripes, flower, flourish. The green/white striped paper is DP. The flourish and center of the flower were die-cut using matte foil DP. The foil dots were created by the negative of a die-cut.
Hope you're having a fun evening.

Time Out - Flower - thanks
Greetings!
Following is my post for two challenges:
Time Out Challenge 68 - CASEing Ardyth
Flower Challenge 1 - "Anything Goes" with Florals
The flowers and leaves are from MFT - Blissful Blooms stamps. I used fall tones of yellow, red, oranges to color using Copic markers. A few flowers were masked to add a small portion of the leaf. A couple of paintings of clear WOS on the flowers and leaves enriches the colors. A white Gelly Roll pen was used to outline the centers of the flowers. The sentiment is die-cut using three layers. A few gold sequins complete the card.
Hope you're having a pleasant day.

OLS - Blowing Birthday Wishes ...
Greetings!
Today, I'm sharing my card for the One Layer Simplicity Challenge 32 where Karen is challenging us to use red, orange and yellow. I took an ombre approach by stamping the sentiment in Red Hot, the candles in Orange Zest and the flames in Lemon Drop. For a little texture and shine I used clear embossing powder and heat embossed. Since I stamped with dye ink, I embossed after stamping each color. An extra touch was created by stamping the hearts in the flames with red dye ink and heat embossing. (Actually, I stamped the hearts/heat embossed after heat embossing the flames ... gives a little more texture to the flames.)
Hope you're having a pleasant day.

MCV - A Gift for You
Hello!
Today, it's time to play at Muse: ChristmasVisions 66. Chriss has an adorable card with a mouse for our inspirations. My rendition includes mouse, foliage (Xmas tree), similar colors. For some definition and shine on the snow slope a thin strip of blue foil DP was added. A little sparkle was added to the star and ribbons on the packages with clear WOS.
Wish you a pleasant day.

Today, I'm playing cards with Muse Challenge #187. Tracey, the hostess, has provided us another one of her gorgeous flower creations for our inspirations. From Tracey's card I chose to use similar layout, flowers, colors to create my rendition. The flowers are colored with Copic markers. For some sparkle, a coat of clear WOS was applied to the flowers and leaves. A few sequins with clear gem stones in the centers were randomly adhered for some interest.
Hope you're having a pleasant day.

MCV - 'Tis the Season
Hello Everyone,
Today, playing cards at Muse: ChristmasVisions 65. Kimberly, the hostess this week, has presented a fantastic card with her own designed sock monkey that is so cute. From Kimberly's card I used an animal critter, water color feature, touch of red, similar layout. The blue portion of the circle was ink blended using Faded Jeans and Salty Ocean Distress Inks. The sentiment was stamped in red ink. The entire circle was over sprayed with a white shimmer that creates the white water-color look on the blue. The panda is having so much fun he almost did a face plant in the snow slopes!! A few clear star gems were added for additional sparkle.
Hope you're having a great day.

Muse - Happy Thanksgiving
Hello Everyone!
Today, I'm sharing my card with Muse where Anita is the hostess this week. She provided us a beautiful card for our inspirations. I chose to use patterned paper, foliage, vellum, brown-toned sentiment. My card base and top panel are cream colored that seem to blend well with the patterned paper of muted orange, gold and off white thin stripes. The leaves were die-cut and two of them inlaid. On one leaf I left in some of the bits, the middle leaf is backed with vellum to give the patterned paper a muted look and the third leaf is an embossed die cut. The sentiment was stamped in brown pigment ink, topped with clear embossing powder and heat embossed. A few gold sequins with orange gem stones in the centers were added for some sparkle.
Hope you're having a wonderful day.
