Muse: ChristmasVisions 26 For this week Birgit provided us a treat with two fantastic cards for our inspirations. Her card with the yellow round panel caught my interest. I thought Rudolph fit perfectly in the yellow circle. CASology 170: Heart Meet my card for this challenge ... so many possibilities with the cue word of heart. Colored the hearts the same reds used on her coat and scarf. Added a little Wink of Stella to the hearts for some sparkle, and white Gelly Roll to her cuffs and pom-pom to make them extra white. Muse Card Challenge 139 For this challenge Tracey provided us a precious card with flowers for our inspirations ... those taken from her card that I used on mine are: --colors --birthday sentiment --two flowers --embellishments --placement For the sentiment I stamped in ink that closely matches the flower centers. These cone flowers (echinacea) are most common in the purple/pink tones. The small flower stamp included circles that look like dew drops coming off the petals. The drops are the spots where I placed the rhinestone embellishments. Thank you for looking and commenting ... your feedback is always appreciated. Muse Christmas Visions 25 Our muse this week is from the very talented Betty who provided us a joyous and festive card. Inspirations from Betty's card that I used are: --colors (except for gold) --music paper --joy The green foil paper panel and the red foil joy add the sparkle. Thank you for looking and commenting ... your feedback is always appreciated. Products: Cardstock - MFT; Recollections DP - MME; DCWV (foil paper) Dies - MFT - Die-namics Stamp - MFT (I modified it by masking the word "joy") Ink - MFT - Hybrid
Chriss provided us with a fun snowy winter scene card for our inspiration. The elements from Chriss' card used on mine are: --red birds --snow slopes --tree (mine is green) --holly
I decided to make my card mostly the snow slopes with just the top of the tree and the birds showing. I experimented with the snow ... wanted to replicate snow that starts to melt then freezes (applied stickles then sprinkled embossing powder with fine glitter and heat embossed). Even with heat embossing, the glitter shed a little, so I applied a coat of varnish. Like IRL, the "snow" has that crunchy texture. With the extra product applied, unfortunately, some of the slope contours disappeared.

Our inspiration is Michele's fun, nostalgic card using DP (Michele's paper has typewriters on it)! Oh, the good old days ... typing and shorthand! Fast forward to the present ... I used a tablet on my card. Inspirations from Michele's card:
--DP --hearts --love hearts and hugs message --tablet in lieu of typewriter

Muse Christmas Visions 23 This week Kimberly provided us a gorgeous colored card adorned with snowflakes for our inspirations. I pretended to look into a dark sky to see my snowflakes! I picked up the colors from Kimberly's card by using various blue-colored rhinestones. The elements from her card that I used are: -- colors (gems) -- black sentiment -- snowflakes

My card for this challenge that includes inspirations from Joan's fantastic water-color card. --color theme --blue flower --one-word sentiment in white --white dots (pearl gems) in flower center
For the background I used distress inks. To achieve the "wonky" shaped background, I free-hand cut mask pieces.
