Hello - Muse

Hello Everyone,

Meet my card for the following challenge:

Tracey provided a gorgeous flower image that is white embossed. Although, I am in awe of white embossing, my outcomes leave me a little under whelmed ... I'll keep practicing!! From Tracey's lovely card the inspirations I used on mine are the colors, bold sentiment and one big flower image.

CASology - Thank You

CASology - Doodle

My card for the CASology challenge with the cue word "doodle."  Immediately, I thought of making doodles in the margin of notebook paper (like I did in school) ... so I did.  In lieu of hand doodling, I used small stamp images. Part of the fun was making a doodle around the holes (the colored centers of two flowers are actually holes in the notebook paper),  Also, I remember the doodling didn't cross the red line (that's what I was led to believe) ... because the "white space" to the right of the red line was for a school assignment, notes, etc.  I used the white space to stamp theThank You sentiment. The DP is real notebook paper (very difficult to work with so the adhesive didn't show). And, we always used No. 2 lead pencil.  Such fun remembering yesteryear!

CASology - you SPARKLE

Hello.  The CASology challenge cue word is Glitter for this week.  The glitter on my card is in the form of clear Wink of Stella. Both the "you" sentiment and heart were painted with multiple coats of WOS for that glitter effect.  The SPARKLE sentiment is part of a Christmas stamp.  For added glitter/sparkle a small clear rhinestone gem was added to the heart.

The Paper Players - Much Love

Hello.  This week The Paper Players have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for our inspirations.  I chose one of the diagonal selections ... Yellow, Pink, Purple ... to use on my card.  The heart was inked with Distress Ink and lightly misted with water for a mottled, water-color effect.  The panel includes a diagonal stripe purple and white strip and a thin yellow strip.  Also, inlaid a yellow heart in the pink one.

JUST BECAUSE...Congratulations...YOU

Hello everyone.  Today, I'm sharing three cards for a number of challenges:

First, my card for the Muse Challenge. Jenni, the newest DT member, presented a lovely card for our inspirations.  (Congrats, Jenni!).  Her card was inspirational in a number of ways; the details that I used on mine ... colors, flowers, black label-type sentiment, pierced panels.  In lieu of a pink panel with script I used pink and white diagonal stripe DP.  The small white panel is embossed with MFT Grosgrain impression plate (retired). The flowers were embellished with black pearl dots in lieu of liquid pearls.

Second, my card for:

-- CASology (cue word Adore);
-- ATC - Red;
-- CAS(E) this Sketch.
The heart was embossed with MFT Die-namics - Hugs and Kisses CU; IRL it looks like tooled leather.

Third, my card for The Card Concept.  I'm placing this in the Clean, Layered, Elegant category (the elegant part because it's mostly white). Inspirations are from the cake layers, flowers, leaves.

Paper Players

hello LOVE

The challenge this week at The Paper Players is a sketch.  This time I tried a mostly white card with pink and part of the sentiment in black.  The hello is painted with a couple coats of clear WOS for some sparkle. Additional embellishments are pink pearl dots.  For some texture one of the panels was embossed using a grosgrain embossing plate.

CASology and Seize the Birthday

Clear the road!

My card for CASology .. with the cue word of clear.  This challenge was a poser.  Then, I remembered a stamp set just for teenage boys that I bought a few years ago to use on cards for my grandsons. Sadly, this stamp set is retired as the company (Paper Pretties) closed.  The road was made using snow drifts dies. To give the center stripe a reflective look a painting of clear WOS did the trick.

Also, I'm entering the Seize the Birthday challenge where the topping is clean and simple.
