Time Out - Life takes us ...

Hello Card Makers,

Such a fun folk-art type inspiration is presented by Time Out Challenge #77 for our creations. For my card I stamped and colored artsy-style houses with Copic markers. The main part of each house was colored using a light blue with bright colors used for the details. The grounding was created using DP in a blue-green shade. The sentiment was stamped on a white cloud die cut and adhered to a light blue cloud die-cut. Clear glaze was applied to the doors and window frames to give them an enamel look.

Playing cards at the Muse Challenge #204. Jenni has provided a delight for our inspirations. My rendition includes colors, layers, embossed panel, die-cut sentiment. The embossed basket-weave-looking panel was created using a Stripes cutting plate ... embossed twice by turning the plate 90 degrees for the second pass through.

CAS Watercolour - love

Hello Everyone!

Today, I'm playing cards at the February CAS Water Colour Card Challenge where the focus is 'Love'.

The embossed heart was created using a MFT Hugs and Kisses cutting plate. The 'love' sentiment was die cut from a coral-colored water color panel created by smooshing Distress Inks then applying a quick spritz of gold color shine. A few clear 'diamonds' add a little sparkle to the love theme.

Muse Challenge #203 - Tracey McNeely's card is the inspiration this week.

Casology 236 - Romance

Inspirations from Tracey's card include background images, white sentiment on black background strip, layout.  The heart-shaped petal flowers were created using a stencil and black Pitt pen then colored with Copics and painted with clear WOS. Also, a coat of WOS was applied to the 'love' die-cut sentiment. Added sparkle includes clear light gray gemstones added to a few of the flower centers.

The heart-shaped petals and 'love' sentiment spell 'Romance'.

MCV - Addicted - joy

Greetings!

Playing cards at MCV 77 and Addicted to Stamps and More - Holiday.

I was inspired by Chriss' card at MCV.  My rendition includes joy sentiment, colors, use of similar process as background to create 'joy' sentiment. For some dimension the sentiment includes 3 layers of black beneath the top layer.  The sentiment was adhered to matte gold DP that was mounted to dark red card stock.  Because I like shimmer/sparkle on my Christmas cards, I added a couple coats of clear WOS to the sentiment.

Also, this fits with the Holiday theme at Addicted to Stamps and More.

For the NBUS challenge my card includes a never before used sentiment.  Should my card be drawn, any of the giveaways will be a plus.

For the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge the card includes use of Copic markers, Pitt pen and white Gelly Roll to make the doodles on the lady bugs.

To complete the images the lady bugs were  painted with a couple coats of clear WOS to give them sparkle.

This week at Muse Challenge #201 is a clean and graphic card created by Valentyna.  I love everything about her card.

My rendition is a CASE, don't you think!!!  I kind of went out on a creative limb!!

Seriously, I wanted to make a card for one of my grandsons and thought a CAS/grunge style was more suited ... that is what I created.  I was inspired by the clean look, layout, large black inked sentiment. The card has a hint of sparkle on the round shaped elements and some tiny black faceted dots beneath 'hugs.'
