Muse: ChristmasVisions 55 Greetings Everyone, Playing cards with Kevin Bray who is the guest designer this week. The card he provided for our inspirations is so fun ... the penguin is perfect. For my card I used the general layout, a snow slope, ink-blended sky (blue and purple hues), Christmas gifts,Merry Christmas sentiment. I chose to use one of the Crazy Birds for my main element because I have no penguin that would work. For added interest, the snow slope was painted with a couple coats of clear WOS to give it some sparkle, and a few snowflakes were added to the sky. Hope your day is enjoyable. Less is More 286 and 287 - Use Something Tactile Playing cards with Linda, the guest Muse, this week. Her card is beautiful with a partial die cut feature and an angled panel. For my card I chose to use a partial die-cut (part of the sentiment) with pink tone panel and flowers. The panel color was achieved by blending a couple of pink toned distress inks. The flowers were colored with shades of pink Copic markers. For interest added were small clear gems, clear WOS on the flower petals, glaze to the flower centers, etc., and a couple of the flowers placed behind the die cut sentiment. Also playing in the LIM challenge - the tactile features are the die-cut sentiment, gemstones and slightly raised flower on the white panel. Hope your summer day is enjoyable. MFT - Summer Camp - Inlaid Dies Addicted to CAS - Stripes Greetings! Playing cards in MFT Summer Camp (Inlaid Dies) and ATC (Stripes). The stripes on my card were made by using a black marker to make stripes in various sizes. Then the stripes were colored with 16 different colors of Copics (2 hues of each color). The inspiration for the stripes was from Francine's blog. Two cuttings of the 'thanks' sentiment were made - one from the striped panel and one from white card stock. The white die-cut sentiment was inlaid into the striped panel. Wish you a fun day! Marilyn Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback. Muse Challenge #174 Greetings Everyone! Tracey provided a cute card for our inspirations this week. For my card I used similar layout, green ink blending, animal friends, sparkle, popped up images and panel. Some of the blades of grass were given a coating of clear WOS. Pandas need a little bling ... right? Actually, some of the green ink took on a life of it's own ... so, a few small clear rhinestones cover the blemishes nicely!! Wish you a pleasant day!
