Muse Challenge #172
Greetings Everyone!
Today, I'm playing cards with Jenni who provided us a beautiful CAS card for our inspirations. I focused on butterfly, colors, sparkle, one-line sentiment. I created the butterfly with yellow and white flower patterned Washi tape applied to light blue cardstock and die cut. For some additional color a thin strip of the light blue card stock was applied to the bottom of the panel. A couple of light blue rhinestones preceding and following the sentiment complete the card.

Wish you a fun day!

Greetings Everyone!
A fun challenge for a number of reasons ... gorgeous photo inspiration, Ardyth as the guest designer, etc. I made a square-shaped card (I learned about this from Ardyth) focusing on the colors, polka dot table cloth, pillows.
Wish you an enjoyable day!

Muse: ChristmasVisions 50
This week Elizabeth Stewart is the muse, and what a stunning, sparkly card she provided for our creativity. For my card, I chose sparkle, circles, snowflake, blue tones. I used rich blue glitter paper for the background panel. For some interest the inlaid white circle was created using the MFT Snow Drifts Cover Up cutting plate. To show off the snowflake, a circle cut from the glitter paper was placed behind it. A 'merry christmas' sentiment and a few rhinestones complete the card.
Hope your day sparkles!

Muse Challenge #171
Tracey provided us another one of her beauties for our inspiration For my card, I took a 'what if' approach ... what if the flowers/leaves were outlined in color and white stamped/heat embossed ... so I tried it. In doing so, I used similar hues along with the general layout, stitched frame panel, black sentiment.
I cut the flowers/leaves using colored card stock, then white stamped/heat embossed which left the colored outline. Since my splattering needs more practice, I decided to use a MFT Scattered Dots background stamp inked with green and blue distress inks lightly applied to the card stock.
Wish you a creative day!

MFT - Summer Camp - Spectacular Shakers
Still having fun at camp! This day is a shaker card. The 'see-through' product is re-purposed cellophane packaging (from MFT cardstock). The shaker components are the pieces from the Hugs and Kisses CU.
Wish you a fun day of card making.

Camp is fun ... time to try something new!
That's what I did ... many firsts on this card ...
I white stamped and heat embossed the flower and leaf. The I water colored the flower using Distress Inks (pink, red, yellow). Next, I water colored the stem and leaves using Distress Inks (gray and green). I splatted some of the same colors, stamped sentiments and over sprayed with a gold color shine. I learned ...
-- it's fun
-- water color paper would probably work better, although coloring on non-water color paper created some interesting texture and color blending
-- practice more on all the techniques

Wish you a coloring kind of day!

MFT - Summer Camp - Sensational Sliders
It's the second day of summer camp at MFT. My card uses a pull-out tag to create movement. This was achieved by using a pierced rectangle die and a traditional tag die. The space for the tag to slide was made using foam tape.
Hope you're having fun at camp!

The inspiration photo is gorgeous with the brightly colored flower bouquet. For my card I used most of the colors. For some sparkle a couple coats of clear WOS were added to flower centers.

Greetings!
The challenge this week is the Color Purple. For the purple rectangle I blended four colors of purple hued inks (2 distress and 2 dye). The balloons were colored with a violet colored Copic marker and topped with a couple coats of clear WOS for some sparkle.

Tag! You're It! Challenge #48
Greetings!
Time to play in the TYIC. This is a fun challenge to create tags that are like mini-cards.
This week Karren is the guest designer, and Bobby is the hostess who provided a very festive and patriotic tag. (Update - I omitted the part about Bobby when I initially posted ... my bad.)
Wish you a fun day!

Greetings!
This week Kimberly provided a card with a vibrant red cardinal. I decided to take an inspiration approach and used a panda. Features from Kimberly's card are the red trimmed sides, general layout, same word sentiment. For a festive touch I added red buttons to the panda and red trimmed berries to the bamboo. A couple coats of WOS make the buttons and berries sparkle.
Wish you a splendid day!

CASology #200 - CAS
Greetings!
Playing in the 200th episode of CASology ... fantastic milestone! The cue word is CAS. For my card I chose to use four color hues - blue, yellow, white, black. The balloon is white stamped/heat embossed with a birthday background stamp then ink blended with three colors of yellow Distress Ink (Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey). The blue panel was inked in Distress Ink (Salty Ocean) then over sprayed with a gold color shine to give it some shimmer.
Wish you a sunshiny day!
