Greetings! Today, I'm playing in two challenges ... Less is MoreWeek #278 - Sketch The Paper Players - PP297 - Tic Tac Toe. I used the top line of yellow, twine, birthday. For the yellow panel, I used a birthday background stamp and stamped/heat embossed using white pigment ink and white embossing powder. Then, I colored over the embossing using three colors of yellow Distress Ink (Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey) and cut following the sketch. Then, I die-cut a square frame and wrapped hemp cord (twine) around the top of the frame. The card is finished with a die-cut 'happy' and stamped 'Birthday' sentiment. To give the 'happy' a glossy look, a couple coats of Gelly Roll Glaze Pen were applied. Wish you a fun-filled day! Marilyn Thank you for visiting and commenting ... your feedback is greatly appreciated. Greetings! A card for a couple of challenges. I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #238 and the colors from Colour Q Challenge #343 (black, calypso coral, gold, white). Used a combination of Copic markers to achieve the coral color in the pillows. The gold foil is one of the background layers and is used for the buttons on the pillow. (Unfortunately, the foil does not photograph well.) Wish you a pleasant day! Marilyn Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback. Greetings! Sharing my rendition for the Muse: ChristmasVisions 46 challenge where Stephanie is the guest hostess for the week. My card includes black reindeer, blended ink background, image stamped off the inked background, red nose, red panel. For the blending I used Ranger Distress Inks - Mowed Lawn and Evergreen Bough. The reindeer was colored with a Bic black permanent marker. A white Jelly Roll was used for the eyelashes and spots. A red rhinestones was added for the nose. Wish you a wonderful day! MFTWSC 282 Greetings! Our Muse inspiration this week is from Jenni who provided us a colorful and clean card. I chose to use gifts, various bright colors, birthday sentiment, heart. To achieve the different colored packages, I masked, inked and stamped repeatedly. A birthday sentiment, sparkly heart and very small black rhinestones complete the card. Because I didn't make any mistakes during the masking/inking process (and with the help of MISTI), this card was completed quickly!!
Also, entering the MFTWSC. Wish you a wonderful day! Marilyn Thank you for visiting and commenting ... your feedback is always appreciated. Greetings! A card for a couple of challenges ... The Paper Players Sketch Challenge #296 provided by Laurie. Seize the Birthday where the topping is to add dimension. I started with the sketch from The Paper Players and added some dimensional elements (the woven-look oval and stacked flowers). Although I used a general "Thinking of You" sentiment, I often use for birthday cards by making the inside sentiment birthday specific suited for the recipient. Muse: ChristmasVisions 44 Greetings! Today, I'm playing cards with Chriss who provided a very soft-colored scene for our fun. Inspirations from Chriss' card are use of soft colors, trees, 'joy' sentiment under laid with a dark color. Instead of white embossing my trees, I chose to use the same colors as the sentiment. For a little sparkle, a couple of applications of clear WOS top the sentiment. Hugs, Marilyn Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your comments. Greetings! One card for three challenges: Color Throwdown (ctd392) - use Cobalt, Kraft, Light Grey, White. I used Dove Grey base and panel, Kraft square frame die cut, Cobalt blue flowers, White flourish. Note - this card caught Barbara's eye - "stunning CAS card." CAS(E) this Sketch! - I went with a liberal interpretation of the sketch. Note - received Honorable Mention. TIME OUT - Our inspiration is from the very talented Kay Miller whose cards I always admire. The layout is similar with a different color palette. I lightly embossed the Kraft frame to resemble wood planks (may be difficult to see in photo). Hugs, Marilyn Thank you for visiting and commenting ... your comments are always appreciated. Greetings! A CAS card for the Inspired By All The Little Things #14 challenge. A number of specifics caught my attention including the color palette. For the background panel, I die-cut using the Proof Positive cutting plate and input the positive pieces with a few white ones randomly placed. A couple of clouds with 'THANK' stamped on one and a red die-cut 'you' embellished with clear WOS complete the card. Hugs, Marilyn

SORRY - XOXO Greetings! Today, I'm guest designing for CASology as a result of my win a couple weeks ago. What an honor!! The challenge cue word is 'tear' ... many, many possibilities. I envisioned someone wanting to write a heart-felt note because of an error, misdeed, etc. In their haste they managed to 'tear' a big chunk out of their note paper. Look forward to seeing your interpretations. Hugs, Marilyn Thank you for visiting and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback. Greetings! This week I'm playing with the CAS(E) this Sketch 171 challenge. For some texture the center of the raised panel is embossed with the Proof Positive die. For added interest the inlaid portion of the star is secured only in the middle to enable the points to be slightly lifted.
