happy birthday My card for the CASology and Runway Inspired Challenges uses festive colors of red, white, black with a touch of green. Sparkle was added to the die-cut sentiment by applying clear WOS. For CASology I translated the cue word "merry" to "happy" for a birthday card. For RIC I believe the inspirations from the photo are obvious. Thank you for looking and commenting ... your feedback is greatly appreciated. Holiday Blessings My card for this challenge with inspiration provided by Betty's lovely card. I was inspired by the simplicity of her design, colors, oval, shimmer/shine and center-placed image/sentiment. In lieu of splatters, I randomly placed microscopic-sized dots (the negatives from a MFT die) around the tree. In addition to the shine from the dots, I cut an oval frame from gold foil. The oval and frame are inlaid. Thank you for looking and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback. A SPECIAL GIFT JUST FOR YOU The inspiration for my card came from this adorable card designed by Michele. She challenged us to emboss, color and use a fun character or two or three ... The inspirations used on my card are: --colors (red, black and white) --heat and dry embossing (swirly pattern, sentiment and panda) --fun character (panda) --white sentiment
The panda was altered by attaching a red sparkly heart. A big applause to Michele on her one-year milestone as a member of the Muse Challenge design team. This card is entered in the Muse Card Challenge and CASology (cue word Toy). Thank you for looking and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback. Joy Our Muse this week, Kimberly, provided a very sparkly, shiny, colorful festive card. From her card I used: --colors --sparkle and shine --black card base --holly The shine and sparkle on my card includes foil DP, WOS, Glossy Accents and rhinestones. For the Joy and berries I applied 3-4 coats of WOS then covered with Glossy Accents ... they are sparkly. Thank you for looking and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback. The title of the stamp that I used is "It's a Christmas Tree" ... fitting for this week's challenge. Even a bare, almost-dead tree (a few green needles are still attached) deserves a little sparkle ... added WOS to the ornaments and a touch of gold Stickles to the rope tie. A very thin strip of gold separates the DPs used to ground the image. Thank you for looking and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback. Joy.Joy.Joy.Joy Our muse this week is Joan who provided a precious card for our inspirations. This is Joan's last Muse (your cards have been a wonderful inspiration) ... she's headed for other adventures. In my stash I found the perfect pink paper with a subtle pattern ... I thought it would look extra special by embossing it ... well, it was like the pattern disappeared ... good thing I liked the dots!! Joan's card provided the following inspirations for mine: --color theme --embossed pink panel instead of stickles --silver cord in place of twine cord --glitter paper in place of Stickles --rhinestones in place of sequins Thank you for looking and commenting ... always appreciate your feedback. Muse Card Challenge 144 For this week's muse, Ardyth's charming daughter, Kate, provided our inspiration with her fun card with colorful, playful elements. I like how she was inspired by the gift card. And, I like how she stepped up to the occasion to be the muse. Way to go, Kate. My card uses similar colors, CAS design, birthday sentiment in black, small stamped elements. I colored the flowers with Copic markers, then applied a few white dots for interest and some WOS for a little sparkle. Thank you for looking and commenting ... your feedback is greatly valued. This card is for the following two challenges: Muse: ChristmasVisions 31 where Chriss provided us a beautiful black, cream and gold inspiration. My card includes the same color scheme, black panel, white flower, white sentiment, red heart and gold foil accents. The little red heart on Chriss' card caught my attention, so I used one, too. The Challenge #53 where we are inspired to make a non-traditional Christmas card with no red or green (oops!! ... the heart has a little red on it!!). The gold outline beneath the flower was created from pieces of flourishes randomly placed/glued. Thank you for looking and commenting ... your feedback is greatly valued. Muse: ChristmasVisions 30 This week's MCV is a fun one ... make a Christmas tag using red, green and a tree or other Christmas greenery and a tie-in with Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags. Ardyth's card was my inspiration start for her CAS style, inlaid tree and off-set red panel. I chose to go very CAS with a white tag with red off set, green foil tree with diagonal interest, sentiment in black ink, red/white twine and red rhinestones. The green foil was first die-cut with the MFT - Die-namics Stripe Coverup, all the parts were glued to paper, then the tree was die-cut with the stripes on the diagonal. The tree was inlaid into the tag (it doesn't look like it because of its thickness). I make my tags at least double thickness ... that way they can be used as a book mark.
