MERRY - My card for MCV #8. I made the persimmon color by using Tangy Orange card stock and coloring it with Copic R29. The green color is Fusion Green. (Interestingly, the colors on my card are identical to an old Christmas cookie tin that I use for storing card making supplies.) Keeping with what may be considered non-traditional Christmas colors and fun theme, I stamped only Merry as the sentiment. These colors were my main inspiration.

The card is the for Rule of Thirds segment of Summer School. Also, it includes elements of Quiet Space, Focal Point, Movement and Lines/Balance. The inspiration for this card is from a February 2013 Pin (Karen Motz blog). It will be sent to a friend who is fighting cancer.
This card is for the Focal Point aspect of summer school. The soccer team on which my grandson plays won first place in their latest tournament ... this card will be for him.

This card is for the Balance/Line segment of summer school. The pattern was made using the Pinstripe BG stamp by stamping once then turning the paper and stamping again to make the grid. The grid design was cut at an angle using one of the strip dies from Blueprints 2. The strips were laid next to each other which created added interest.

This is my second card for this challenge. The piece made using the Proof Positive die (remaining from a previous card) was begging to be used! The square negative space was filled in using a Licorice Black frame piece and Sweet Tooth piece that were cut using the Square STAX Set 1 and Pierced Square STAX dies. The challenge colors were achieved by coloring Smooth White cardstock with Copic markers.

For this card I used Copic markers to color pieces of Smooth White cardstock to make the colors for this challenge. The Proof Positive Die was used to cut Sweet Tooth cardstock and the colors; the negative spaces were filled using the colored plus signs. Then, I aligned the Square Stax die so that the plus signs look like "x's" and adhered to a black piece cut with a Pierced Square STAX die.
This card is for the MFTWSC230. It started out different that I didn't like, so I kept working with it. I'll send to one of my grandsons for July 4.
