Muse - Hello

Greetings!

Today, it's time to share my card at Muse. Aileen, the guest this week, provided us a beautiful flower card rich in color.  From Aileen's card I chose to use similar colors and layout, 'Hello' sentiment, and paint the flowers with clear WOS. My flowers are from MFT - Blissful Blooms Stamps and Die-namics. Gem stones in the colors of the flowers were adhered to the center of gold sequins and randomly placed for added interest.

Hope your day is filled with enjoyment.

MCV - Christmas Cheer

Greetings Everyone!

Today, playing cards at Muse: ChristmasVisions 63. Our inspiration is a very fun card from Cornelia. My card includes trees, penguin, sentiment that includes 'cheer.' To give the trees some definition and snowy sparkle I used a gray Copic marker to create a shadow and painted with a coat of Clear WOS. Also, added a painting of WOS along he slope lines. My penguin is a snow-tubing one!!  I'm not sure he's ready to hit the slopes, but he looks very festive with the red inner tube!!. A few randomly placed red sequins with clear gems in the center finish the card.

Hope you're having a fun day.

Muse - thinking of you

Greetings!

Today, I'm playing cards at Muse where Jenni is the hostess this week. From Jenni's beautiful card I chose to use blue flower, yellow center, black-inked sentiment, center placement of flower.

The flower was created using a stencil and Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber for the center and Salty Ocean for the petals. The flower panel was adhered to green foil card stock. For some interest gem stones the color of the flower were added to the center of the gold sequins and randomly adhered.

Hope your day is pleasant.

MCV - sending joy

Greetings!

Sharing my card at Muse: ChristmasVisions where Chriss provided us a delightful card for our inspirations.  On my card I used colors, similar layout, white stamped sentiments, die-cut star, black background. The tree was created by using a ruler and drawing irregular lines on white card stock, coloring with copics and die cutting.

Wish you a fun day.

Muse - Hello

Hello Everyone!

Sharing my card for the Muse Challenge #183. Tracey, the hostess this week provided a beautiful floral card for our inspirations.

My rendition of Tracey's stunning card includes white embossed flowers, color hues, black sentiment. This card is my Plan B ... the background panel was created using various blue and green Distress Inks and smooshing. The same process was used for a panel to stamp the flowers except with orange, corals, pink shades of Distress Ink. The flowers were stamped using white pigment ink, heat embossed and fussy cut.

Wish you a fun day!

Marilyn

Note - Plan A was trying to water color without the proper paper and brushes. The paper and water coloring did not play nicely together, and the brushes created many unwanted spots!! It's always fun to try.

MFT - Your Are My Happy

Greetings!

Sharing a card for the MFT - 2016 Card Design Superstar. The background panel was created using 3 cuttings of the Snow Drifts Cover up die, randomly placed on top of each other to make a stencil and color blending using Distress Inks (Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade). The frame was made using the Pierced Rectangle Frame. The flower was cut and stamped from the Blissful Blooms dies and stamps and colored with Copics that blended with the colors in the panel (YR02, R22, R32, R24, R29). The small white strip is from the Stripe Cover up and cut to fit. The 'You are My' part of the sentiment is from Essential Sentiments and 'happy' is from Brushstroke Birthday Greet die cut three times and glued together. For additional interest thin strips in black glitter and gold foil were added along the left side of the panel. For sparkle clear WOS was painted on the flower and on 'happy' and gold sequins with custom-colored gem stones to match the colors in the flower attached to centers.

Wish you a fun day.

OLS - Peace Time

Greetings!

Today, I'm sharing a card for One Layer Simplicity 31 challenge - Back in Time.  It's back to the 60's ... I stamped a clock face masking the middle to leave space to stamp the peace symbol.  Then, I stamped a few flowers and hearts. The coloring was done with neon pink and orange Sharpie markers. For sparkle gem stones were added to the middle of the flowers. Using Sharpies and Micron markers the bottom border was created by hand by drawing three lines in pink, orange and black.  The bottom part of the border was hand scribbled to match the design of the peace symbol.

Hope you're having a fun day.

Muse - MFT - Birthday Hello

Hello Everyone,

Sharing my card for a couple of challenges:

Muse 182 - inspired by Anita's fun and colorful balloon card ...colors, balloons, birthday sentiment are the elements that I used on my card.

MFT - 2016 Card Design Superstar - used stencils cut from Balloon STAX dies to create the ink blended balloons.  The dies and stamp are MFT.

The 'birthday' part of the sentiment was cut from the balloon panel.  Then, 3 'birthday' cuts were made using black card stock.  The black pieces were glued together and placed in the negative opening.  The part cut from the balloon panel was glued on top of the black pieces for some dimension. For some sparkle 'birthday' was painted with a few coats of clear WOS and sequins with gem stones in the center of each were added.

Note - the card stock is not pink ... it is white IRL!!

Hope you're having a fun day.

Addicted to Stamps and More - MFT Superstar - Congrats

Greetings!

Sharing my card for a couple of challenges:

MFT 2016 Card Design Superstar

Addicted to Stamps and More #210 - Photo Inspiration

My card was created using the photo inspiration from Addicted to Stamps and More.  Also, I used MFT Dies and Stamps that qualify it for the MFT Superstar Challenge.  Products' details follow.

I created the blue panel using three colors of blue Ranger Distress Inks on MFT Sno-Cone card stock. The next step was die-cutting using the MFT Stripe Cover-up Die. All the pieces were taped to a piece of paper, turned 90 degrees and cut again with the same die. The 'quilt' looking pieces were taped to paper and cut with a MFT Pierced Square Stax die. The same colors of blue Distress Ink plus yellow and bright pink were smooshed water colored onto white card stock and cut with a MFT Pierced Heart Stax die.  The one-word sentiment was stamped using MFT Label Tape stamp and MFT Hybrid Ink and cut with the MFT Label Tape die.  A few silver sequins and gems stones that match the blue tones were added (gem stones were added to the center of the sequins).

Wish you a pleasant day.

Marilyn

Note --- IRL the main card stock is white ... not pink!!

ATC - Give Thanks

Hello Everyone!

Sharing a card for Addicted to CAS with the code Harvest. I believe the colors used and the sentiment align well with Harvest. The flower was created using a stencil and color blending about five colors of Distress Inks. The flower panel was adhered to green embossed DP and then mounted at an angle onto a Kraft panel. The 'Give Thanks' sentiment and sequins with orange gemstones adhered to the centers complete the card.

Hope you're having a wonderful day.

MCV - Joy Peace Love

Greetings Everyone!

Today, I'm sharing a card for Muse: ChristmasVisions 60.  Kim is the Muse this week ... she provided a very festive holiday card. I wanted to play ... my stamp stash had almost no similar items, so I pretended ... a lot!! I told myself that the foliage stamp was a broad-leaf evergreen (laurel, for example) and used a couple of green colors of dye ink. For a cold morning 'frosty' look, a couple coats of clear WOS were applied. The red 'berries' are custom-colored gems adhered to the centers of gold sequins. The sentiment words and placement are similar. It was fun pretending!

Inspirations from Kim's card include green foliage, red 'berries', sentiment words stamped in black and placement of sentiment.

Hope you're having a great day!
